I like having something I can open in a browser early. It makes the next decision easier: I can see what’s missing, try an idea, and find out if it actually helps.

Darren / Creative front-end developer
I’m Darren, a front-end developer based in Colorado. I build websites with React, TypeScript, and have a growing interest in 3D. I like figuring out how a page should look, then getting into the code to make it work.
Collegiate distance running taught me to be patient with progress. That carries over into my work: try something, see where it falls short, and come back to it with a better idea.
Music is a big part of my life, too. I think about timing when I’m building an interaction: how quickly a menu opens, when an animation settles, or when a page needs to stay still.

After staring at a page for hours, I can miss things. A fresh pair of eyes helps me notice an unclear label, an awkward interaction, or a step I assumed was obvious.
The smaller details usually take a few passes. I check the phone layout, use the keyboard, and revisit anything that feels slow or gets in the way.
These are the tools I’m using across my current projects.
